Leading Researcher

Dr. Masoud Maleki is a Leading Researcher in the UNi4D group. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Geoscience and Engineering from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and the University of Oslo (UiO) (2014–2018). His research focuses on reservoir geophysics and petroleum engineering, with particular emphasis on the integration of time-lapse (4D) seismic, machine learning, and reservoir-flow simulation for enhanced reservoir monitoring and management.

His previous work involved the development of integrated ML–4D seismic–flow simulation workflows in a Permanent Reservoir Monitoring (PRM) setting for deepwater Brazilian offshore fields. He is currently working on a project entitled “Frequent 4D Seismic Data Acquisition for Enhanced Reservoir Management in Brazilian Pre-Salt Fields.”
