
About UNi4D
UNi4D is a research group within UNISIM/CEPETRO/UNICAMP dedicated to advancing seismic reservoir monitoring through 4D seismic (time-lapse seismic) technologies.
Our work integrates geophysics, reservoir engineering, geology, and artificial intelligence to develop innovative methodologies that improve reservoir characterization, reduce uncertainty, and support data-driven decision-making in subsurface resource management.
Integration and Methodology
One of our core goals is to close the loop between seismic and engineering domains by ensuring that dynamic information extracted from seismic surveys is quantitatively integrated into reservoir simulation and decision-making workflows.
Technical Contributions
By combining geophysics, reservoir engineering, and artificial intelligence, UNi4D advances the state of the art in reservoir monitoring and contributes methodologies that enhance production forecasting, uncertainty quantification, and closed-loop field management in in complex subsurface systems, including offshore hydrocarbon reservoirs and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) projects.
Collaboration
We collaborate with academic groups and industry partners to push the boundaries of closed-loop reservoir management and deliver impactful solutions for real-world subsurface challenges.
